Finding gratitude in the midst of a pandemic as we prepare for Thanksgiving in 2020 might feel impossible. Thanks to a world and holiday season drastically changed by COVID-19, we’re forced to make changes to our holiday traditions this time around just as we did for July 4th and Halloween.

Maybe you won’t be able to travel to grandma’s house, but all is not lost. Team Pink always looks for the silver-lining in any situation and believes in positive vibes always out beat the negative. Norton National wanted to take a moment to reflect on this past year and share events that we are thankful for in 2020.

I’m thankful for…

  • We added our 3rd child and first baby boy to the Peck family in April.
  • I was able to take maternity leave this year! Unlike the other pregnancies with my two older daughters, I had to strategically plan between producing televised football games or checking in teams for Monster Jam.
  • I was able to spend some MUCH needed family time. Running a business and running a family is a beast, and I was able to prioritize my personal life this year.
  • My grandmother celebrated her 90th birthday.
  • Our business is growing in new directions because of the pandemic. Our team has rolled with the punches and rose to the occasion. Bringing Katie on as a manager last year has been the greatest advancement in our company.

I’m thankful for…

  • I was able to overcome a health scare earlier this year and have remained healthy since.
  • My entire family has remained healthy and safe during a global pandemic.
  • Celebrating 4 years of marriage with my best friend, husband, and now… Baby Daddy!
  • After 3 years of trying, I am finally pregnant!
  • McCall not letting COVID shut down our doors for good and for her “not only rolling with the punches, but fights back” outlook on business.
  • Mother Nature had a break from society and was able to heal a bit. My inner hippie hopes that this break brings light to more people that we need to respect our planet and care more about how we harm Her.
  • Norton National has grown and now we are project managers for the opening of #ArtHouzTheaters

I’m thankful for…

  • My family members staying safe and healthy throughout the year.
  • My boyfriend Jared getting a job during a pandemic after graduating from college, and all the time we got to spend together.
  • Moving into a new apartment that we love.
  • Professional sports coming back. GO PACKERS!
  • Another cousin was added to my life this year.
  • Having the ability to still travel home to see family members.
  • Continuing to have a job during the pandemic.
  • All of our healthcare professionals, teachers, and other essential employees who work their butt off for us.

I’m thankful for…

  • My entire family has remained safe and healthy throughout the pandemic.
  • My little sister was able to move into the dorms and start her freshman year of college.
  • My boyfriend for being the best quarantine, and life, partner.
  • My girl squad at Norton National. We have become lifelong friends this year.
  • Binge-watching The Great British Baking Show right at the start of quarantine. This show inspired me to become a home baker during lockdown and now I am able to share my treats with all of my friends.
  • New opportunities at work and for keeping everyday interesting and new.
  • My parents. They are truly the best people I know and I could not have gotten through this year without them.

I’m thankful for…

  • That I kept a job through the entire pandemic.
  • That I was “grounded” from going anywhere, so I was able to get some major quality time with my family.
  • Because there has been no traveling, more out-of-the-box ideas have come out like movie dates on the couch, pool parties this summer, and hikes outside.
  • My daughter and how much I have been able to watch her grow this year.
