Hard work, leadership, and positivity are at the core of every great team lead. Taking on a leadership role can be a great way to cultivate your abilities and make you a top candidate to be booked for all events. #TeamPink has put together a list of what we look for in our team leads.  Do you think you have what it takes?

Booking

We send our team leads confirmation as early as possible so that the lead knows the proper information, and has all the resources that they need to be the best they can be!

In order to do this, we have a team lead call before the event. Jumping on the phone with our brand ambassadors and giving them the rundown on what our expectations are, creates a safe space where they ask any and all the questions! This call is mandatory in order to be a team lead, so don’t miss out!

On-Site Communication

Norton National executes the impossible quite often, however, we haven’t quite mastered time travel to have our team onsite in 6 cities simultaneously. This is why we have team leads! We staff and coordinate all of our teams every weekend from our home base in Las Vegas and rely on our team leads to represent the #SparkleSquad in the best possible way. Communication is KEY (whether you’re the team lead or my stubborn boyfriend), especially when checking in before the event. Wrangling everyone into the same meeting place to connect with their point of contact is a task that we rely on the team lead to well… lead! Being in constant communication with your staffing coordinator on event day is HUGE.

Team leads who have excellent communication with our team at HQ, get first right of refusal on all upcoming events. This coveted group of talent is sort of like being a member of Club 33 (IYKYK). Don’t you want to be a repeat member of #teamNortonNational?

Photos

If you spent months planning an event wouldn’t you want fantastic pictures that captured the moment? Proof that your masterpiece existed and wasn’t all a dream? Guess what, so do clients!

Clients want to see their product being enjoyed and loved by consumers. There should be proof of the client’s logo, product, festival, and adoring fans having the best time of their life. Grade A team leads always:

  1. Make sure the consumers are loving what they are seeing.
  2. Capture it on camera!

Taking the time to capture the perfect photo for the client will give you extra brownie points. Smiling faces and interacting with customers and key factors when taking a photo. Also, ensure to capture the surrounding area or activity taking place. This will help record the run of events taken that day. For example, what was the demographic, age group, weather, and how many branded items were handed out, can all be seen in the photos taken.

Taking quality pictures will also help keep you at the top of the call list for future events. Not only do you want to take a group photo of the team, but look for the moments in between, when the team is interacting with guests, items being showcased and an overview of the event set up.

Since we have fantastic team leads, we of course have fantastic examples for you as well!
