The idea of going green might panic you a bit, however, there are many easy options to put into practice! These simple tricks will ensure our great, great grand babies live in a healthy world.

 

  1. Reusable grocery bags
  2. Reusable water bottles
  3. Take advantage of local farmer’s markets
  4. Find thrift stores for donating or selling clothes
  5. Carpool
  6. Recycle (obvi, I know)
  7. Take the stairs over elevators
  8. Use your car less- bike, walk, jog, sprint, crawl, scooter, etc.
  9. Take advantage of paperless billing
  10. Turn the water off when you’re brushing your teeth
  11. Email receipts rather than paper copy
  12. Go meatless once a week (or twice if you feel like a rebel) 
  13. Take your own coffee mug to your coffee shop
  14. Use rechargeable batteries
  15. Reusable straws (I’m aware the paper ones suck)
  16. Work on food waste
  17. Install a water filter on your tap
  18. Practice the 48-hour rule when shopping- only buy if you are still thinking about it
  19. Energy efficient light bulbs
  20. Reuse gift wrapping
  21. Share a shower 😉
  22. Do your errands in batches
  23. Work from home a couple of days a week
  24. Use plane tickets on your phone instead of printing them out
  25. Take notes electronically 
  26. Research companies sustainability usage before buying from them 
  27. Take advantage of natural lighting
  28. Take advantage of black out curtains
  29. Unplug unused chargers
  30. Use chemical-free cleaning products
