Norton National’s first “big” client, the nationwide tourer, the company our brand ambassador’s have known to love, FELD Entertainment, everybody! Six years ago, Norton National started staffing for FELD for a single, stand alone, event a year (if you can even believe that), and present day, we’re staffing and converting labor in up to nine cities a weekend, throughout the year!

 

With more than 3,500 shows a year, in 75 different countries, FELD has taken the idea of “family entertainment” to the next level. Their touring shows include: Monster Jam, Supercross, Disney on Ice, Sesame Street Live, and more!

 

Long story short (ish) our Head Honcho, McCall, used to direct  a different staffing company (if you’re interested in hearing her whole story, check it out here). Through that group, she was introduced to a fine fellow, and the biggest Cubs fans in the world, Tom Williams who was in charge of marketing for FELD at the time. Spoiler alert! McCall’s relationship with Tom Williams eventually worked magic through the FELD grapevine, to our friend Shelbi, who was in charge of mascots and other creative items (enter the flash mobs) and that’s how we got here today. Thanks, Tom and Shelbi!  

 

In the early days, brand ambassadors didn’t exist at FELD, so staffing orders consisted of different marketing strategies from Tom to increase show attendance. Back in the day some orders consisted of: street teams, media blitzs, and even a flash mob, yeah you read that right! All of these orders were taking place locally, a couple of times a year, and as McCall broke off from the previous staffing company and Norton National was born, so were the brand ambassadors for FELD Entertainment.

 

From there, the Brand Ambassador booking was history! The orders kept growing, programs began to use more and more of Norton National’s talent, and new programs jumped on board. From Supercross, VIP’s, Disney on Ice, and Sesame Street Live! We’re incredibly grateful for our Monster ‘Jam-ily’!

 

In 2018, our latest and greatest addition to the FELD tool belt was conversation labor! Have you ever wondered how they turned a normal looking stadium into a mega monster truck pit? So were we, until we went to Houston  and helped make the magic happen! Between laying down flooring, covering seats, and setting up fan interaction areas, Norton National has been fully immersed into the conversation labor world. Now that we’ve added this to the docket, our only question is, “what’s next?”.
