1. What initially drew you to read this book? 

 

McCall: “Honestly, the book has been at my house and the cover looked interesting. I must live in a hole, because I had no idea there was even a show made on it.”

 

Katie: “I was sucked into the TV show and binged watched the entire series in two days. When I found out it was based on the novel, I immediately bought the book.” 

 

 

2. Would you recommend this book to someone else? Why or why not?

 

 

McCall: “YES! It was very modern time, Sex in the City, entertaining, with non-stop page turning at the end.”

 

Katie: “Absolutely! This had everything I love in a book! Real characters, great plot, suspense, and a murder mystery!”

 

 

3. Who would you recommend reads this kind of book?

 

 

McCall: “Women. Any sort of woman.”

 

Katie: “Are you a mom? This story allows for moms of all types to connect and get sucked into a mystery story that won’t reveal the truth until the very end.”

 

 

4. What do you believe is the correlation between the book title and the story?

 

 

McCall: “The whole plot of the story continues to evolve based on everyone’s little lies. These little lies intricately weave themselves into others lives and cause a huge impact.”

 

Katie: “A BIG secret is shared between a group of women that typically don’t get along. They come together and swear to keep LITTLE LIES to ensure their group remains innocent. Lies that I don’t think were necessary, as they could have pleaded self-defense…” 

 

 

5. Were there any quotes from the book that really stuck out to you?

 

 

McCall: “Overtired five-year-olds needed to be handled like explosive devices.”, “All conflict can be traced back to someone’s feelings getting hurt, don’t you think?”, “When someone you loved was depending on your lie, it was perfectly easy.”

 

Katie: “Women are like the Olympic athletes of grudges.”,“But sometimes doing the wrong thing is also right.”
