The idea of going green might panic you a bit, however, there are many easy options to put into practice! These simple tricks will ensure our great, great grand babies live in a healthy world.
- Reusable grocery bags
- Reusable water bottles
- Take advantage of local farmer’s markets
- Find thrift stores for donating or selling clothes
- Carpool
- Recycle (obvi, I know)
- Take the stairs over elevators
- Use your car less- bike, walk, jog, sprint, crawl, scooter, etc.
- Take advantage of paperless billing
- Turn the water off when you’re brushing your teeth
- Email receipts rather than paper copy
- Go meatless once a week (or twice if you feel like a rebel)
- Take your own coffee mug to your coffee shop
- Use rechargeable batteries
- Reusable straws (I’m aware the paper ones suck)
- Work on food waste
- Install a water filter on your tap
- Practice the 48-hour rule when shopping- only buy if you are still thinking about it
- Energy efficient light bulbs
- Reuse gift wrapping
- Share a shower 😉
- Do your errands in batches
- Work from home a couple of days a week
- Use plane tickets on your phone instead of printing them out
- Take notes electronically
- Research companies sustainability usage before buying from them
- Take advantage of natural lighting
- Take advantage of black out curtains
- Unplug unused chargers
- Use chemical-free cleaning products
